College finds home for French-language program in Toronto (8/02)

The Centennial College Centre for Creative Communications on Carlaw Avenue in Toronto will be the new home of Collège Boréal new French language career education and training program.

Centennial College has gained a reputation as a diverse post-secondary institution and with Collège Boréal participating in the program, it promises to contribute to the rich multicultural mix at the institution.

“The facilities, which include ample space and state-of-the-art equipment and numerous amenities, will be an outstanding feature in serving our francophone learners in the Greater Toronto area,” Gisèle Chrétien, Collège Boréal's president says.

The French-language programs being offered this fall will include business and health-related studies.

Collège Boréal opened its doors in 1995, offering 60 post-secondary programs and a multitude of occupational training programs and activities to the francophone population of Northern Ontario. The college is well recognized for its new educational technologies and entrepreneurial approach in preparing its students for work in both official languages.
