Sudbury's Neureka Research Inc. is receiving $237,000 in FedNor funding to develop a market-ready diagnostic test kit to identify a virus that causes gastroenteritis. The research was initially developed at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children. The project comes on the heels of a February announcement that the non-profit research group has signed a contract with a Finnish university to develop a diagnostic system that predicts heart disease.
