Employees at Parry Sound's Pro-Safe Fire Training expect to be back at work within a few weeks after the owners of the building, which houses the company, locked out management and staff in late spring.

The landlord was in a lease dispute with the company and chained the gates at the industrial park in Carling Township. More than 20 employees were affected.

Several weeks before, Pro-Safe had issued temporary layoff notices to 14 workers as a result of a shortage of work and cash-flow problems.

Company officials were working with the building owner to resolve the dispute and completed some ongoing projects in the U.S.

Pro-Safe, a builder of fire simulators to train firefighters, counts the U.S. Navy and Boeing among its clients.
