The strategizing continues this spring on how to grow the population of Northern Ontario.

Northern Policy Institute (NPI) will host the second installment of the Come North – Population Growth Strategy Conference June 22-23.

This year's conference will cover the topics of anti-racism and discrimination, the attraction and retention of domestic and international migrants, and the full integration of the existing population.

Anyone in the North interested in these topics is welcome to join the discussion, and it's free to register to participate.

Last year's session centred on how to attract, welcome, and retain new arrivals in the North.

The resulting report suggested Northern Ontario needs to create a collective brand to make the North more attractive to new residents.

The two-day conference, with sessions held in Temiskaming Shores and Thunder Bay, was attended by more than 300 attendees representing nearly 100 organizations.

More information on this year's event will be released shortly.
