Gin-Cor Industries has earned a place on the 2015 PROFIT 500 list.

The Mattawa-based company, which builds vocational and severe-service trucks, was ranked 276 on the list, which is an annual ranking of Canada’s fastest-growing companies. Published in the October issue of Canadian Business and at PROFITguide.com, the PROFIT 500 ranks Canadian businesses by their five-year revenue growth.

Gin-Cor Industries made the list with five-year revenue growth of 209 per cent.

“It is an honour for Gin-Cor Industries to be recognized on the PROFIT 500 ranking for 2015,” CEO Luc Stang said in a news release. “This achievement reflects the collective effort of our employees and their desire and ability for personal growth.

“It remains our primary objective to deliver the best in-class service and products to our existing and growing client base, as we look towards the future,” Stang added. “We have strategically aligned our goals with select key world class suppliers and partners, ensuring that we continue to bring the best in vocational truck ‘work truck’ solutions through our collective dedication and innovation.”

James Cowan, editor-in-chief of PROFIT and Canadian Business, said the list represents the “highest tier of entrepreneurialism in Canada.”

“They should be lauded for the positive economic contributions they’ve made to their communities — and the entire country,” he said. “They are examples of what can be accomplished with innovation, discipline and determination.”

Gin-Cor has been lauded in the past. Stang earned an Entrepreneur of the Year award from this publication, at the 2012 Northern Ontario Business Awards, and later that year, the company won a Business of the Year award from the North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce.

Gin-Cor Industries has parts and service locations in Carleton Place and Kingston, along with an affiliate company, Durabody Industries, located in Bond Head.
