The main issue which was discussed with Bruce Shirran on the CBC this morning is that the building is in dire need of renovations that would cost in the millions of dollars and their budget simply doesnt cover anything close to that seeing is they only handle around 20 clients at any given time.
Moving to a new building would be more feasible but again there is no additional funding for anything like that.

My kids probably wont see it until theyre senior citizens. Its shameful, 200 km of highway, 3 generations of almost non stop work and still not complete. It would never take that long in any other part of the world and the sad part is we probably paid more than triple the cost of what its actually worth.

7 years lol. In China they could do that in a few months, in Europe a year or two, in Russia around the same.
Canada is so slow at doing anything. How about the divided highway between barrie and sudbury? Construction spanning 3 generations for a little over 200 km and still not finished. Qe cant even rehab a bridge over a river in under two years while meanwhile China and russia just finsihed building the worlds longest bridges over seaways in under 5 years and 2 years respectively.
Shameful how far we've fell behind the world.

Why work to solve a problem when you can simply enable it instead?
Ask yourself, why arent they just disposing of them properly now? We already have a needle exchange program. The answer isnt lack of services, you have to actually care about your community to be able to want to take care of it.
These people dont care about anybody else.
