Changes are continuing at the Sault Ste. Marie Airport, including promotions for key staff members and an expansion of the facility.
CEO Terry Bos has been promoted to the position of president and accountable executive of the airport’s board of directors. He is also transitioning into the role of past president of the Airport Management Council of Ontario, a role he held for four years.
Jim DeGasparro, who has been serving as operations supervisor, will take on the added responsibilities of safety management systems manager and fire chief.
In coming weeks, the board will additionally be seeking a security and business administration manager, who will help with ongoing expansion efforts and a promotion that will recognize the airport’s 200,000 annual passenger with a travel giveaway.
Among other changes are an expanded portfolio of services and the acquisition of more local, regional and international partnerships, as well as a new online presence and facility renovations, all of which are expected to take place in the upcoming year.
