Snowmobile tourism in the North received a $15-million provincial boost for trail development over the next four years.

Minister of Tourism and Recreation Cam Jackson presented a $2-million cheque to the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs in North Bay as part of the government's investment in the Trail Safety and Sustainability program.

"Today's $2-million investment goes a long way toward promoting snowmobiling as an important recreational activity and tourism attraction in snow country," said Nipissing MPP Al McDonald in a news release.
