Transportation Safety Board investigating crash of North Star Air aircraft

North Star Air reported that one of its Basler BT-67 cargo aircraft was involved in an ”accident” near Sachigo Lake in northwestern Ontario, Dec. 3.

In a brief statement, the Thunder Bay-based air carrier said the accident happened at approximately 9:10 a.m. central time.

The company said no passengers were on board and the two members of the flight crew were not injured. 

The Transportation Safety Board (TSB) confirmed it's conducting an investigation into a "collision with terrain."

North Star said it intends to fully cooperate with the investigation.
