Tourism board recruiting new members

Northeastern Ontario Tourism seeking tourism stakeholders to help shape future of the industry

Northeastern Ontario Tourism (NeONT) is recruiting members to its board.

The organization, which represents the interests of tourism operators from across the northeast, is looking for six new members to fill its slate for one- and two-year terms.

Board members meet between four and six times annually, and members are additionally expected to participate in one or more committees.

To be eligible, candidates must be involved in the industry in northeastern Ontario, they must have a membership in good standing with NeONT, and they must have demonstrated innovation and success.

The organization views relevant experience in tourism product development, workforce development, investment attraction, or marketing as an asset.

The deadline to apply is Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021, by 4 p.m.
