A Thunder Bay crowd will gather this September to talk about the coming digital transformation during Digital Transformation Conference 2022.

Hosted by the Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre, the one-day event will be held Sept. 9 at the Delta Hotel in Thunder Bay.

Over the course of the day, participants will hear from 45 experts in 17 sessions who will discuss the embrace of new technology and how it can make them more efficient.

"You can expect to gain insights from international organizations to small business owners into what tech is being leveraged today, what to expect for tomorrow, and how exactly we’re going to get there," according to the conference synopsis.

Keynote speakers include Scott Dougall, director of product management at Google; Suzanne Christie, CEO at Shout Media; and Andy Hay, a two-time Master Chef finalist and owner of Andy's East Coast Kitchen.

Sessions will address how digital transformation applies to various sectors including natural resources, the public sector, food and agriculture, health, funding and grant programs, supply chain and inventory management, culture and arts, advanced manufacturing, and education and training.

There will also be discussions on the Metaverse, NFTs and blockchain; women in tech; cybersecurity; empowering non-coders to integrate and build software; digital business development and analytics; and Indigenous in tech.

Registration for the conference is now open. More information is available here.
