All-star Timmins businesses picked up their trophies at the 2025 Nova Awards.

The theme for this year's Timmins Chamber event was Team Nova: All Stars of Business. Held at the McIntyre Community Building on May 8, Art Pultz was the MC, giving the play-by-play of the night's action.

“Tonight, we celebrated the powerhouses, rookies of the year, the strategic leaders, and the unsung heroes who show up every day and give it 110 per cent,” said Tom Faught Jr., president of the Timmins Chamber's board of directors, in a news release.

“Our local business community is full of all-stars who bring the grit, the game plan, and the drive to elevate not only their teams but our entire region. These award winners are the playmakers shaping our economy. It was an honour to celebrate their championship moment.”

There were over 120 nominations for the awards, which were narrowed down to 45 finalists in 15 categories.

The big winner of the evening was Daystar Stitching, which is celebrating 30 years in business this year and won the President's Award.

“Known for their dedication to quality, customer care, and community, including its long-standing support of the Daystar Hockey Clinic, this multigenerational, family-owned business continues to build on its legacy of exceptional service and quality, passing the torch to the next generation while demonstrating that true success is measured not just by growth but by continuity and commitment to community," said Faught.
