Trade will be on the agenda at the Northern Ontario Exports Forum in Sudbury, June 27.

Dan Neff, chairman of the board for M3 Engineering and Technology Corporation in Arizona, is the featured headliner among the list of speakers for the one-day forum at the Holiday Inn hosted by Ontario’s North Economic Development Corporation (ONEDC).

Close to 200 participants are signed up for the networking event with delegates coming from Africa, Argentina, Australia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mongolia and the United States.

A news release from the City of Greater Sudbury said the conference is geared to provide companies with “insightful and actionable information for internal strategic planning; information on current and prospective opportunities; and the chance to network with representatives from the global mining sector.”

The day’s agenda will feature international mining sector speakers, roundtable presentations and discussions.

“The Northern Export Forum is an excellent opportunity for mining leaders from around the world to see, first-hand, the innovation and diversity of the mining sector in Northern Ontario,” said Greater Sudbury’s economic development director Ian Wood in a news release.

“We look forward to welcoming the delegates to our community and connecting them with our mining supply and service sector representatives.”

Visitors to town will go on tours of NORCAT’s underground test mine in Onaping and mining suppliers in Sudbury and North Bay.
