Jacques Perron, president and CEO of St Andrew Goldfields Ltd, will be resigning from his position the end of October. He will be pursuing a new opportunity with similar responsibilities with a larger mining company with operations in Western North America.

Perron has been with the company for six years and has transformed it from one that struggled to produce 10,000 ounces of gold in 2007, with substantial operating losses and in poor financial health, to the current one that has become a reliable producer of 100,000 ounces of gold per year.

St Andrew Goldfields owns and operates the Holt, Holloway and Hislop mines east of Timmins, which contribute approximately 100,000 ounces of annual gold production. The company is also advancing the Taylor Project and is conducting a number of exploration programs across 120km of land straddling the Porcupine-Destor Fault Zone.
