Gowest Gold has received official notice from the province that the mine production closure plan for the its Bradshaw deposit near Timmins has received final review.

The closure plan provides details for how the mine will be operated and closed, and for site reclamation once mining activities are done.

Gowest has now received all environmental permits required to bring Bradshaw into commercial production.

The company said the ore-sorter has also been commissioned to sort 28,000 tonnes of gold-bearing mixed development ore stockpiled on surface. This material will be trucked to Northern Sun’s Redstone Mill where processing begins Nov.9.

The company also plans to mine approximately 15,000 tonnes of stope ore as part of the bulk sample.

“We have just achieved two more critical milestones towards seeing the Bradshaw gold deposit as the newest gold mine in the Timmins camp," said company president Greg Romain in an Oct. 28 statement.
