Mining industry upswing spurs hiring push at Redpath

Company seeks to fill positions in Red Lake, Kirkland Lake and other areas of Ontario

Redpath Mining is expanding thanks to the upswing in the mining industry. The firm said it's currently hiring 20 miners for jobs based in Northern Ontario.

“Redpath finds itself in a position to recruit for many opportunities for our local, provincial, domestic and international projects,” stated Laura Piche, Redpath's manager of global marketing, in an email to BayToday.ca on Aug. 2.

“Our recent outreach to hire 20 qualified miners will satisfy job requirements for several of our clients, including Red Lake, Kirkland Lake and other areas of Ontario.”

North Bay is home to Redpath’s global headquarters where 220 administrative and skilled trades personnel work and raise their families.

The company offers services including underground construction, shaft sinking, raiseboring, mine contracting, raise mining, mine development, engineering and technical services, and a variety of specialty services.

The company has worked around the world, in jurisdictions such as Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and South America.
