An Ottawa-based junior mining company has uncovered a micro-fragment of kimberlite from its Bradley property near Kapuskasing. Northern Shield Resources will begin a diamond drill program on its project about 60 kilometres north of Kapuskasing.
Company president Peter Bliss says a high-resolution airborne magnetic survey conducted in September revealed about 10 “high priority” targets among about 30. He says there is potential for a cluster of kimberlite pipes within the Bradley project, widely regarded as an under-explored area of northeastern Ontario.
