Cast Nevada Resource adds MTI to U.S. product lineup

Two companies with strong Sudbury ties are working together to extend their influence and reach in parts of the United States market, with Cast Nevada Resource Inc. having signed a distributor agreement with Mining Technologies International Inc. (MTI).

Cast Nevada Resource, a wholly owned and supported subsidiary of the Sudbury-based Cast Resource Equipment Limited, will provide capital, parts and service support for a variety of products for MTI, which is also from Sudbury.

The agreement will apply to the five state areas of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Nevada.

"This agreement with MTI is an excellent opportunity for us," said Dennis Hood, general manager of U.S. operations, in a release.

"From a strategic perspective, it allows us to compete in the new equipment market of LHDs, trucks and drills. It will give us a product offering that we believe is second to none."
