Sudbury junior miner Canadian Arrow Mines is building an all-weather road into the site of its Kenbridge Nickel Project in northwestern Ontario.

The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources issued a work permit to build a 10 kilometre that amounts to widening and surfacing an existing trail.

Canadian Arrow president Kim Tyler calls the permit an "important step" to develop the future mine by providing year-round access from nearby communities and supply centres through Highway 71.

"It will greatly increase the flexibility of supporting ongoing exploration efforts at the site including our planned advanced exploration program."

The project, east of Sioux Narrows, is progressing in close consultation with the Grand Council of Treaty No. 3 and neighbouring First Nation communities.
