Mattawa truck manufacturer deemed great place to work

Gincor Werx lands on national list for second consecutive year

Gincor Werx has been named one of the top places to work in manufacturing.

The Mattawa-based truck-maker has been named to the 2021 list of the Best Workplaces in Manufacturing, from Great Place to Work, an independent organization that certifies companies based on research and employee feedback from companies around the globe.

To be eligible for the list, organizations must have been certified by Great Place to Work within the last year, and work primarily in the manufacturing Industry.

Gincor first made the list in 2020.

Luc Stang, president and CEO at Gincor, complemented company staff for their perseverance through adversity.

“We often see what it really means to be a team and act as true supporters of one’s efforts when the chips are down. Our ability to press on through daily challenges has never been more apparent since we began working through the global pandemic,” Stang said in a news release.

“Without a true group effort and the ability to make sacrifices on a daily basis, would make it near impossible to be successful and profitable. Recent adversity has made all of us a little stronger and ultimately added to an already great foundation to our reputation as one of the Best Workplaces in Manufacturing. I am very proud of all of our employees.”

Established in 1978, family-owned Gincor manufactures trucks used in construction, municipal and other industrial applications.

In 2019, it employed 274 people at seven locations across Ontario.
