Gincor Werx has acquired Wiltsie Truck Bodies, an Aylmer, Ont.-based manufacturer of truck bodies.

Mattawa’s Gincor Werx is adding to its manufacturing capacity with the acquisition of Wiltsie Truck Bodies.

Based in Aylmer, Ont., Wiltsie Truck Bodies has been owned and operated by the Wiltsie family for more than 60 years.

The company makes a range of rugged and dependable trucks, including dump trucks and truck bodies, along with pony trailers and flat decks.

Wiltsie additionally offers parts and service on truck body repairs, sandblasting and painting, custom fabrication, wheelbase changes, and life-axle calibrations.

Luc Stang, president and CEO at Gincor Werx, welcomed Wiltsie to the Gincore family in a statement.

"We are pleased with the opportunity to build on the foundation of the Wiltsie family business from the Aylmer, Ont., community. This foundation and its client base have been built by men and women who have a passion for the industry where it all happens,” he said in a news release.

“It's all about the people and that's what makes this latest acquisition a great fit for all stakeholders. We look forward to bringing Gincor Werx to the former Wiltsie Truck Body team to help enrich the lives of each other and those we serve and partner with.”

Gincor Werx has manufactured vocational vehicles from its headquarters in Mattawa, about 45 minutes east of North Bay, since the late 1970s.

Over the last decade, the company has completed a series of acquisitions to grow its portfolio, including Durabody Industries in 2015, JC Trailers in 2016, Gincor Trailer Werx in 2017, and Drivetec Manufacturing in 2022.

Gincor’s ownership of Wiltsie took effect March 1, 2024.
