The World Bioenergy Association (WBA) will have greater Canadian representation over the next two years, after a Northerner was elected to the board.

Dawn Lambe was named one of 19 representatives to sit on the board, which was elected during the 2018 WBA conference, held April 24-25, in Stockholm, Sweden.

Lambe is the executive director of the Biomass North Development Centre in North Bay, an education and advocacy organization that supports the development of the bioeconomy in Canada.

Its services include education and advocacy, technical and market research, strategy development and implementation, consulting services, delivering workshops and events, organizing tours and trade missions, and more.

The World Bioenergy Association is the global organization dedicated to supporting and representing the bioenergy sector. Its mission is to promote the increasing utilization of bioenergy globally in an efficient and sustainable way and to support the business environment for the bioenergy companies.
