A digital directory listing resources for the film and TV industry in North Bay is now live.

Announced last December, the initiative aims to connect local businesses with film and TV productions that are filming in the city.

Its spring launch was timed to coincide with scouting season for upcoming productions.

The initiative is a partnership between the City of North Bay, Tourism North Bay, and the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce.

“We are continuing to support the region’s film and television sector, which creates jobs and contributes tens of millions of dollars annually to our local economy,” North Bay Mayor Al McDonald said in a news release.

“We look forward to working with Tourism North Bay, the chamber and other community partners to further position our city as a hub for the industry.”

Producers can search by category, including accommodations, eateries, health and wellness facilities, leisure activities, and more.

More than 100 businesses have registered already and more will be added regularly.

“Whether it’s cast and crew members seeking downtime activities or in need of late night catering options, this is another avenue for us to show visitors to North Bay what we have to offer,” Steve Dreany, executive director of Tourism North Bay, said in the release.

The directory can be accessed here.
