Northern projects recognized by architecture association

A pair of Northern Ontario projects has been named as finalists for the 2016 Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) Awards.

Prince Arthur’s Landing along Thunder Bay’s waterfront, as designed by Brook McIlroy Inc. of Thunder Bay, was recognized as a finalist.

Also acknowledged was the Go Home Bay Cabin in Georgian Bay Township, designed Ian MacDonald Architect Inc. of Toronto.

More than 200 submissions have been whittled down to 20 finalists. The winners will be named on April 1 and will be honoured at the annual awards gala on May 13 in Toronto.
