Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission

The Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) is recognized as a Northern Ontario Business Leader through its investment in expanding regional news coverage. Thanks to its participation in the Northern Ontario Business Leaders Program we are able to enhance areas of content in Northern Ontario that were underserved in the past. The CEDC proudly supports Mining the Northwest and stories about the innovators, entrepreneurs and industry pioneers who are driving the mining sector forward in Northwestern Ontario.

Small City. Big Possibilities

The mandate of the Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission is to operate in a way that is:

CEDC receives formal proposals on projects that will contribute to economic development. We are responsible for:

  • Business development
  • Business retention and expansion
  • Entrepreneurial support
