XPS names new director

Dominic Fragomeni has been named the new director of Xstrata Process Support. In a news release, XPS indicated Fragomeni would take over the role as of January 1, 2012.

Dominic Fragomeni has been named the new director of Xstrata Process Support.

In a news release, XPS indicated Fragomeni would take over the role as of January 1, 2012. He has been manager of the XPS Process Mineralogy group since 2009, and has led the group as it continued to grow its expertise in nickel, copper, zinc and PGM flow sheet development, and also as it diversified into gold, rare earth and potash markets, according to the release.

Fragomeni has been with XPS since 2006 and has 25 years' mineral processing experience. He has held positions with Noranda, at Hemlo Gold, Brunswick Mining, Kidd Creek, and Xstrata Nickel Raglana and Strathcona mills.
