Are you a North Bay ex-pat on Christmas furlough in the Gateway City?
Mayor Vic Fedeli wants to invite you over for a Boxing Day chat. In his never-ending quest to make North Bay more prosperous community and to stem youth outmigration, Fedeli is staging his sixth annual Boxing Day Think Tank.
His reasoning is that there are many highly-educated and professional former North Bayites who are well connected to what's happening globally and they know which companies are ready to expand.
He wants to round up about a dozen people on Boxing Day and ask them to share information about companies on the move to see if he can lure them up Highway 11.
In a Dec. 5 release, Fedeli said in previous years he's gotten some great ideas and many of them have been incorporated into city plans.
"I would hope that parents will let their corporate kids know that the Mayor would like to chat with them for two hours on Boxing Day. I'll treat them to a sandwich, we can exchange some ideas, and they'll head home to their families by 2:00."
