Weyerhaeuser Co. Ltd. is proposing more upgrades to its Dryden mill.

The company reports it will spend another $75 million on new equipment to help reduce mill emissions. Last year, Weyerhaeuser announced it would spend $75 million to improve the mill's pollution-control equipment.

A company spokesperson says the additional money will cover the cost to replace a 35-year-old recovery boiler, which was originally scheduled for upgrading. The new boiler will allow the mill to easily meet any future changes to environmental standards.

Construction is scheduled to begin in January and will take about two years to complete.
