Thunder Bay Wal-Mart to expand

Thunder Bay City Council has approved a 4,180 square metre grocery expansion of the Wal-Mart, located on Memorial Avenue. The move would add a meat department, bakery, produce section and full-service deli to the store.

Thunder Bay City Council has approved a 4,180 square metre grocery expansion of the Wal-Mart, located on Memorial Avenue.

The move would add a meat department, bakery, produce section and full-service deli to the store.

Construction is expected to begin in six to 12 months. About 200 construction jobs are expected to be created while the addition is being built.
