Thunder Bay Oil Sands Consortium is putting on a brave new web face.

Thunder Bay Oil Sands Consortium is putting on a brave new web face.
The launch of their website is part of a marketing effort by 22 local metal fabrication companies looking to make inroads into oil, mineral and hydro development in the Western Canadian provinces.
Already many Thunder Bay tradespeople have found work in Alberta and frequently commute back and forth on charter flights into Thunder Bay International Airport.
The city's port authority is also getting involved by working with Canadian National Railway to beef up its rail infrastructure and in marketing the Lakehead as a viable entry point for large equipment components heading west.
