Sudbury tourism forum looking long-term

More than 125 operators and members of the tourism industry in Sudbury are set to discuss the city's long-term strategy for the sector at the Greater Sudbury Tourism Forum Nov.


More than 125 operators and members of the tourism industry in Sudbury are set to discuss the city's long-term strategy for the sector at the Greater Sudbury Tourism Forum Nov. 20
To be held at the Radisson Hotel, the event will generate feedback, concerns, suggestions and ideas to try and drive the city's plans to become one of Ontario's top four destinations.
As part of the proceedings, Sudbury Tourism will make an hour-long presentation on the new long-term tourism strategy for the city, known as DS2015, or Destination Sudbury 2015.
Speakers include Rob Skelly, the city's manager of tourism, as well as Greater Sudbury Mayor John Rodriguez.
The keynote presentation will be made by Eric Chester, founder and president of Generation Why Inc. This internationally renowned consultant has helped firms such as Wells Fargo, Harley-Davidson and Toys-R-Us to recruit, train, manage and motivate the newest generation of workers.
