Sudbury homebuilders' group doles out awards

The Sudbury & District Home Builders' Assocaition has recognized six of its members for their dedication and service to the association.

The Sudbury & District Home Builders' Assocaition has recognized six of its members for their dedication and service to the association.

The annual awards recipients are chosen from the association's membership, which includes renovators, builders, developers, suppliers, and distributors, professional services and manufacturers.

Recipients include Alex Sorensen of R.V. Anderson Associates, who received the Hall of Fame award, which is presented to an individual who has been actively involved for at least 10 years, in

recognition of dedication to promoting the aims and objectives of the association.

Fisher Wavy Inc. was named firm of the year, while the Member of the Year award went to both Bob Myers of J. Robert Construction and Fern Forget of Windows Unlimited.

The Award of Honour for a builder or renovator went to Joanne Caouette of Lifestyle Homes Inc., while the Award of Honour for a non-builder went to Bryan Dixon of Fisher Wavy Inc.

Since 1959 the Sudbury & District Home Builders’ Association has been the voice of the residential construction industry in the Sudbury district. Members agree to conduct their business based on its code of ethics and are recognized for their professionalism in the residential construction industry.
