Sudbury Chamber elects new members

Paul Comacchio of SNAP Sudbury and Ene Querney of Bestech have been elected to the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce board of directors, following elections earlier this week.

They round out the board of 16, which includes four re-elected members, six who are completing the second of a two-year term, and four appointed directors.

"The new directors and the returning board members illustrate the variety of talent and expertise that exists in the community," Chamber president and CEO Debbi Nicholson said in a news release. "I look forward to having them contribute their energy, expertise and enthusiasm as we work toward meeting our members' expectations.”

Other board members include Michael Cullen of United Way/Centraide, Julie Dénommé of Lasting Leadership, André Dumais of Bestech, Daniel Giroux of Collège Boréal, Michael Gribbons of Synergy Controls, Peter Luk of Laurentian University, Tracy Nutt of ServiceMaster of Sudbury, Gary Potts of Xstrata Nickel, Jon Treen of Vale, and Mark Weiman of Collins Barrow.

Four appointed directors, representing a broad range of business and industry sectors, include Joseph Mansourian of OvertheAtlantic Interactive, Helen Mulc of the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation, Rod St. Denis of Sign City, and Scott Paterson of Elm Financial.
The Chamber also elected an executive council comprised of Mark Weiman (chair), Julie Dénommé (first vice-chair), Gary Potts (second vice-chair), Mike Gribbons (treasurer) and Debbi Nicholson (ex-officio).
The new directors will begin their term of office following the swearing-in ceremony slated for June 27.
