Sudbury business owners honoured

Sudbury businesses were honoured at the 12th annual Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce's Bell Business Excellence Awards on May 12.

Sudbury businesses were honoured at the 12th annual Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce's Bell Business Excellence Awards on May 12.

The ceremony, which took place at Sudbury’s Caruso Club, is held to celebrate the contributions chamber members made to the community.

This year’s winners were the Interstate Battery Systems of Northern Ontario for Entrepreneur of the Year, Sudbury Cycle & Marine for the Service Excellence Award, Advantage Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic for the Business Start-up Award, Gloria's Restaurant for Hospitality Award and Science North won the Chair’s Award.

Other winners included Big Daddy 103.9 FM for the New Venture Award, MIRARCO for the Innovation Award, Golder Associates Ltd. and Golder Paste Technology Ltd. for the Company of the Year Award, OvertheAtlantic for Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and Nana's Kettle Corn for the Small Office/Home Office Award.
