Houston Lake Mining Inc., a Sudbury-based junior exploration firm targeting gold, PGE and rare metal deposits across Ontario, has turned up gold at its West Cedartree Gold Project, southeast of Kenora.
The 4,134-acre area includes the Dogpaw Lake property, where a 10,526-foot drill program was recently completed. Results indicate that 76 per cent of the holes drilled throughout this program intersected gold values of 3 grams per tonne or higher.
This work seeks to upgrade a portion of the Dogpaw No. 1 Vein historic resource, which totals 53,741 tonnes grading 15.43 grams per tonne gold.
A 2,000-metre drill program is also being pursued on the neighboring Dubenski property.
