The Ontario Northland Transportation Commission is taking to the Internet in shopping for a potential buyer of the railroad. ONTC is putting out a request for expressions of interest in the freight and passenger operations.

The Ontario Northland Transportation Commission is taking to the Internet in shopping for a potential buyer of the railroad. ONTC is putting out a request for expressions of interest in the freight and passenger operations. The posting, which will include the Station Inn in Cochrane, will appear on MERX, a Web site for government contracts. A similar request was posted weeks before, involving the telecommunications wing. The railway's labour group wants to see the ONTC remain as a Crown agency.
