A new ecotourism attraction dedicated to sharing the lifestyle of the Cree culture is scheduled for completion some time this fall near Moose Factory. Situated on the site of a former goose-hunting lodge 60 kilometres southeast of the community, the Wa-Sho-ow Cree Ecotourism Wilderness Centre is scheduled for its official grand opening in March 2002. The camp will offer a sampling of Cree culture and traditions. Located in a remote area, it will operate entirely on solar and wind power.
