Two of Sudbury's landmark tourism destinations, Science North and Dynamic Earth, have received the official thumbs-up from Fodor's Travel, one of the world's biggest names in travel guides.
The two attractions have been named as 2008 Fodor's Choice recipients, and will receive special recognition in the guidebook as being among the best in their field.
In a release, Fodor's publisher Tim Jarrell refers to Fodor's Choice selections as being "the best of the best, providing a remarkable experience in their price range or category."
Destinations included in the Fodor's guidebooks are deemed worth of attention, but only 15 per cent are given the Fodor's Choice selection.
The 70-year-old Fodor's Travel is written by a team of more than 700 writers around the globe and covers more than 300 destinations worldwide. Its website, fodors.com, receives more than 1.5 million unique visitors each month seeking to access travel information.
