Sault’s innovation centre brings on business analyst

The Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre (SSMIC) has hired a business analyst to provide direct assistance to science and technology-focused entrepreneurs in the form of coaching, mentoring and advisory services.

The Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre (SSMIC) has hired a business analyst to provide direct assistance to science and technology-focused entrepreneurs in the form of coaching, mentoring and advisory services.

Hairani Othman previously held positions with IBM Malaysia, American Home Assurance Co., Islamic Development Bank and Celcom.
She has training in project appraisal and risk management, and holds an MBA in finance from North Texas State University

She completed her bachelor of science degree in applied probability, statistics and economics at Northern Illinois University.
“Hairani brings a great deal of experience and capability to the position which will be a direct benefit to our business clients,” said Tom Vair, the innovation centre’s executive director, in a news release. “With her unique skill set, we look forward to providing even greater support to science and technology companies in the region.”

Othman is based out of the SSMIC headquarters in the new Bio-Sciences and Technology Convergence Centre located on the Algoma University campus.
