Rainy River Resources reports it has found more high-grade gold in northwestern Ontario.

The Toronto junior miner released results from drilling at its 433 zone at its Rainy River Gold project.
One result produced 128.5 grams per tonne over 5.5 metres.

The company said it is continuing to extend previously drilled holes in deep areas with good results.

"We have had great success finding and improving the continuity of high-grade gold throughout both the 433 and ODM zones," said Garett Macdonald, vice president of operations, in a June 9 statement. "The exploration program continues to demonstrate the potential for underground mining and we have commissioned an alternative scoping scenario to study an all underground mining operation versus a pit and underground operation."

The Rainy River Gold project is an advanced gold project located in Richardson Township, 50 kilometres northwest of Fort Frances.
