Queenston Mining Inc. has announced the best intersection ever reported on its Upper Beaver property east of Kirkland Lake, marking the potential for economic mineralization below its recently announced resource.
At a vertical depth of nearly 1,000 metres, the record hole returned 30.3 grams per tonne (g/t) gold with 1 per cent copper over nearly 21 metres. It also included an interval of 51.5 g/t gold with 2.6 per cent copper over 7 metres.
This result was part of a ten-hole program to extend the Upper Beaver resource below a depth of 800 metres. The three holes completed thus far represent 3,533 metres of drilling and have all intersected significant mineralization.
Drilling still continues on the property to try and move the company's four fully-owned gold deposits in the Kirkland Lake camp towards production.
