Thunder Bay industrial contractor Venshore Mechanical is receiving $1 million from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund (NOHFC) to grow its pipe fabrication business.
The company has bought additional production equipment and constructed a custom-designed building with overhead lifting capacity to expand its pipe business and create 20 jobs in the process.
The 80-employee company offers piping, millwrighting, boiler repairs, equipment installation and steel erection.
In a Sept. 9 statement, Thunder Bay-Atikokan MPP Bill Mauro said supporting Venshore's expansion will help the company diversify its client base.
The money is coming from NOHFC's Enterprises North Job Creation Program.
