A program to increase cultural and economic exchange across the
Ontario-Quebec border has received some financial assistance from the
federal government.
FedNor is funding $36,000 toward Entre-Amis - Between Friends, a new
regional economic and cultural exchange committee between residents of
Témiscaming in Quebec and Timiskaming, Ontario.
The funding is a non-repayable contribution. The mandate of the committee
is to work in a collaborative manner on co-operative initiatives, projects
and exchanges that will promote business, culture and tourism in both
Ontario and Quebec.
The total estimated cost of the project is $80,000.
