Temex Resources reports finding more high grade gold at depth near the former Hallnor Mine near Timmins.
The Toronto junior is encouraged by the results of a drilling program of two veins on their Hallnor block. So far it's produced intersections of 141.50 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 0.50 metres, and 2.78 g/t over 1.0 metre.
The property is owned by Porcupine Gold Mines, a joint venture between Goldcorp Inc. and Goldcorp Canada. Temex has the option to earn a 60 per cent interest. Temex expects to make a $4 million commitment in May.
The companies are drilling two vein systems to test the depth of mineralization.
Their property lies within one of the highest grade gold mines in the Timmins camp. It occurs within a four-kilometre long, 10+ million ounce trend that includes the Hallnor Mine with historic production of more than 1.65 million ounces of gold at an average grade of 13.71 g/t.
