June 29 marks the start of another season for the Polar Bear Express, the summer excursion train that runs from Cochrane to Moosonee on the James Bay coast.

This year, the train will operate every day except Saturday until Aug. 28.
New this year, The Discovery Channel has produced a comprehensive audio tour of the train.

After travelling 300 kilometres, visitors will arrive Moosonee, the only salt-water port in Ontario and established by the Révillon Frères Company of Paris in 1903. Across the river is the island of Moose Factory – the oldest English-speaking settlement in Ontario and the birthplace of the famed Hudson's Bay Company.
