The Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce has decided to pull the plug on its annual Tour of Lights event at Old Fort William. Poor attendance over the last two years is being blamed for the demise of the Christmas light show. Attendance at the 2000-01 show dropped to less than 7,000 cars, compared to nearly 14,000 the first year (1998). The chamber of commerce is now selling the show's assets; approximately 250 light displays and one million lights made up the annual show.
