Platinex forges exploration agreement with Mattagami First Nation

Platinex Inc, whose Shining Tree Gold property is located 80 kilometres south of Timmins, has entered into an exploration agreement with the Mattagami First Nation.

Platinex Inc, whose Shining Tree Gold property is located 80 kilometres south of Timmins, has entered into an exploration agreement with the Mattagami First Nation.
The agreement establishes a framework for the two parties to develop a working relationship. It also gives the Mattagami First Nation preferred access to employment opportunities and contracts in connection with exploration at the Shining Tree property.
Additionally, the two will work together to minimize the environmental impact stemming from exploration activities.
"Platinex counts the Mattagami First Nation as a respected part of the strategy we implement at Shining Tree that serves the company's long-standing policy of contributing to local employment and minimizing its environmental footprint while advancing its exploration projects," said James Trusler, company president and CEO, in a release.
