Old Fort William is considering expanding its horizons based on a land-use feasibility study released in August. The report outlines ecotourism adventures, such as a themed RV park, primitive campground and a learning vacation facility, as possibilities for land use at the fort. Private-sector partnerships are required in order to build on the ideas, officials say. Copies of the report are available to prospective entrepreneurs for $25; executive summaries are available for free. The report was supported by Development Thunder Bay, the fort and the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund.
