Northwest tourism group names new executive director

Don Pearl is the new executive director of the North of Superior Tourism Association (NOSTA). A Nov. 27 news release said Pearl has more than 30 years of corporate experience, including 25 in the region.

Don Pearl is the new executive director of the North of Superior Tourism Association (NOSTA).

A Nov. 27 news release said Pearl has more than 30 years of corporate experience, including 25 in the region. He started his position at the Thunder Bay-based tourism organization Nov. 30.

NOSTA president Lori Para said Pearl's experience in marketing, international sales and trade shows “will serve our organization very well.”

Pearl said his “passion for the outdoors, my respect for this association, and the opportunities available to grow the tourism product in this great region is why I am so honoured to be the new executive director of NOSTA.”
