Clerical, administrative and technical staff at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine may be poised for strike as early as Aug. 16 after having voted 97 per cent in favour of a strike mandate.

The 152 members of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) Local 677 work at the school's Sudbury and Thunder Bay campuses

Satellite campuses for the Northern Ontario School of Medicine are located in Timmins and Sault Ste. Marie.

Issues include overtime, workloads, job classification and sick leave. Further meetings will be held Aug. 11.
